bnt seminars in Lithuania with German Baltic Chamber
bnt Vilnius, in cooperation with the German Baltic Chamber of Commerce, held seminars on 10 and 16 December 2009.
On 10 December 2009 Attorney (Rechtsanwalt) Frank Heemann (partner) and lawyer Ruta Motiejunaite (associate) informed representatives of Lithuanian companies on the legal framework of economic activity in Germany. The event was organized by the German Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania and took place in Panevezys. On 16 December 2009 Attorney (Rechtsanwalt) Frank Heemann (partner) and Advokato padejeja Giedre Dailidenaite (senior associate) held a seminar for members of the German Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania on how to secure contractual claims in cross-border business relationships with the aim of minimizing losses in the event of a business partner's insolvency. The focus was placed on the effects of the EU Insolvency Regulation, which in CEE continues to be unknown to many enterprises as well as the authorities and judges. Partner Frank Heemann leads the bnt Insolvency and Restructuring Practice Group and has many years' experience in corporate insolvency in Germany, Lithuania, and in cross-border relationships.
