bnt questions revolution in Polish building law
Malgorzata Zamorska and Michal Brach provided an opinion for the influential paper on the constitutionality of amendments to the building law in Poland passed by the Polish parliament. Details of the amendments can be found here.
bnt had earlier presented a comprehensive written opinion on the matter to the Ombudsman and the Polish President, in addition to supporting public organizations and professional associations in the building sector with a legal assessment of the amendments. Malgorzata Zamorska gave many TV interviews nationwide, as well as taking part in several debates. bnt's detailed statements and analyses contributed to a better understanding by politicians and the public of the risks associated with passing the new law: these were taken into account by the Polish President in deciding to have the new law reviewed by the Constitutional Court as to its constitutionality.
