Western investors have to deal with imprecise legal provisions while investing in Central and Eastern Europe. To what extent may one negotiate with the authorities, and when does one run the risk of being accused of bribery attempt? How far may lobbying go? How to avoid corruption and industrial espionage within one's own workforce? The answers to these questions will be provided by specialized lawyers, who advise investors in the Russian Federation, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania. The delicate area covered by merely partly regulated provisions of criminal law and corporate compliance is only beginning to develop in Central and Eastern Europe. Our experts will explain, how to steer clear of rocks, how to properly retrain employees and therefore reduce the risk of corporate and management liability.
