Tereza Chalupová and Ondřej Tejnský join the ranks of senior associates at bnt

bnt Prague decided to give its senior team a boost. Effective as of 1 January 2019, attorneys Tereza Chalupová (32) and Ondřej Tejnský (35) were appointed senior associates. Meanwhile, Jiří Kůra and Jakub Kasl have been admitted to the bar and are now associates of the firm.

Tereza Chalupová has been with the Prague office of bnt since 2011, having been hired as a student and continuing her career as a junior lawyer (koncipientka) after she successfully graduated from the faculty of law of Charles University. In 2015, she passed the bar exam and became an advocate / attorney. From the very beginning of her career, Terezaʼs professional interests and development centered around real estate and construction law (including dispute resolution). Her core competency is providing legal advice to foreign and domestic clients in the real estate market, be it in the area of property development and investment or in the area of real estate acquisitions. Tereza is also a sought-after lecturer and regularly publishes on the legal aspects of the Czech real estate market. Much of her spare time is taken up by sports, but Tereza makes sure to devote some of her time to playing the transverse flute and ballroom dancing.

Ondřej Tejnský is a graduate of the faculty of law of Masaryk University in Brno. He joined bnt in 2013, following more than three years of practice at BBH. Ondřej specializes in commercial law, the law of companies, and labor law. He has substantial experience in financial law, in particular with respect to regulatory issues concerning investment funds and collective investments, security brokers, and payment service providers. His skill set further includes the handling of data protection and compliance matters. Ondřej Tejnský is the author of numerous articles on, in particular, companies law, financial law, and labor law – topics on which he occasionally gives lectures and presentations. When he is away from the office, Ondřejʼs time belongs to his family and to a variety of sports. He also dotes on the familyʼs new companion – an English bulldog.

Other personnel changes at bnt attorneys-at-law actually took place in 2018, when, upon completing their traineeship as junior lawyers, Jiří Kůra and Jakub Kasl became associates of the firm.

Jiří Kůra has been working with bnt since April 2017, joining the firm after several years of practice at an international competitor. As a junior lawyer (koncipient), his focus was on providing legal advisory services to clients in the life science & pharma industries. Other core interests of his include dispute resolution and regulatory matters. During his studies, he spent a year abroad at the University College Cork in Ireland.

Jakub Kasl became a member of bntʼs real estate team in 2015 when he was still a law student. During his years as a junior lawyer, he gained further experience by providing comprehensive legal advice to both domestic and international clients in the real estate market, adding to his set of competencies e.g. real-estate M&A, contract law, and real estate financing.
